1. Who We Are

Empowermint AI, LLC, doing business as Empowermint.AI, operates empowermint.ai. In this Privacy Policy, "Empowermint.AI," "we," "us," and "our" refer to Empowermint AI, LLC. Our business mailing address is 1720 Mars Hill Rd, Suite 124-130, Acworth, GA 30101.

2. Information We May Collect

Account and contact information, such as name, email address, password or authentication information, company or organization, job title, phone number, and location information you choose to provide.

Founder and business information, such as company profiles, business descriptions, industry, stage, funding needs, pitch decks, business plans, financial projections, registration documents, compliance documents, logos, and other materials you submit.

Funding-provider or investor information, such as organization, investment or grant criteria, sector and geographic preferences, ticket-size or funding ranges, investment thesis, and any verification or compliance materials requested for the applicable workflow.

Service-provider information, such as professional profile, business details, credentials, specialties, pricing or service descriptions, advertising information, and listing content.

Transaction and billing information, such as purchase amount, subscription status, transaction identifiers, fee information, and limited payment metadata. Payment card or bank details may be collected directly by our payment processor rather than stored by Empowermint.AI.

Communications and support information, including messages sent through the Platform, support requests, survey responses, and feedback.

Device, usage, and technical information, such as IP address, browser type, device identifiers, pages viewed, clicks, referral source, session information, and security logs.

Optional demographic information you choose to provide, which may include race or ethnicity, gender, veteran status, or other characteristics used to support discovery, matching, reporting, or mission-related features. Because some demographic information may be sensitive under applicable law, we will request it only for disclosed purposes and apply appropriate controls.

3. How We Use Information

We may use information to create and manage accounts; operate and secure the Platform; provide matching, discovery, search, application, funding, payment, directory, and communication features; verify accounts or submitted information; respond to support requests; prevent fraud and abuse; comply with law; enforce our agreements; process billing and subscriptions; improve Platform features; measure performance; and communicate about services you request.

Where permitted by law, we may use aggregated or de-identified information for analytics, research, product improvement, and reporting. We will not attempt to re-identify information that we maintain as de-identified except as permitted by law for validation or security purposes.

4. AI-Assisted Processing

Empowermint.AI may use automated or AI-assisted tools to organize, summarize, categorize, score, recommend, or match users, profiles, documents, or opportunities. These tools may produce errors and do not replace human judgment or professional advice.

Empowermint.AI uses a third-party AI provider, currently OpenAI, to power some features. To check a founder's documents, we may send the founder's state business registration document and EIN document to the provider so it can read them. Other uploaded documents are not sent for this check. We configure these requests so the provider does not store them as application data, and under the provider's current terms, data sent through its API is not used to train its models. The provider may keep technical logs for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring. Today, a person makes the final decision on every document. If that changes, we will update this Policy. You can turn off AI-assisted document checks in your account settings.

5. How We Share Information

We may share information with service providers that perform functions for us, such as hosting, cloud storage, cybersecurity, identity verification, communications, analytics, customer support, and payment processing, subject to appropriate contractual or legal protections.

We may share information with other Platform users when you direct us to do so, make information public, apply to an opportunity, communicate with another user, or otherwise use a feature designed to disclose information to a specified audience.

We may disclose information to comply with law, legal process, governmental requests, or to protect rights, safety, security, and the integrity of the Platform. We may also transfer information in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, subject to applicable law.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

6. Public, Shared, and Restricted Information

Profile information you choose to publish may be visible to other users or the public. Other information, including financial records, identity documents, compliance materials, and private business documents, should be restricted according to Platform permissions and the applicable feature.

Users should review sharing settings and recipients carefully. Once information is shared with another user or third party at your direction, that recipient may independently retain or use it subject to its own obligations.

7. Payments

Payment transactions may be processed by one or more independent payment processors. We may receive transaction identifiers, payment status, amount, fees, billing contact information, and other records needed to reconcile payments and support users. The processor's handling of payment credentials is governed by its own privacy policy and terms.

8. Cookies, Analytics, and Similar Technologies

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in and to protect your account. It is required for the Platform to work and is sent only over secure connections. We also store your language preference on your device. We do not currently use advertising cookies or third-party analytics trackers. If that changes, we will update this Policy and provide choices.

9. Blockchain or Immutable Records

If the Platform uses blockchain or other immutable ledgers for verification or audit purposes, Empowermint.AI should avoid placing personal information, identity documents, financial statements, or confidential business materials directly on a public blockchain. Any immutable entry should be limited to approved technical information, such as a cryptographic hash or transaction reference, where feasible.

Because blockchain records may be difficult or impossible to delete once published, any feature that places information on an immutable ledger must provide clear notice before submission and explain what information will be recorded.

10. Data Retention

We retain account information, uploaded documents, verification and compliance records, transaction records, and related records for seven years after the later of the date the record was created or the date your account is closed, to meet tax, audit, legal, and compliance needs. After that period, we delete or de-identify the information where the law allows. Security logs and backups are kept for shorter periods.

11. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. No system can guarantee absolute security, and users are responsible for protecting their own credentials and devices.

12. Your Privacy Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of certain personal information, or to opt out of certain processing. Some rights are subject to legal exceptions, verification requirements, and retention obligations.

You may unsubscribe from non-transactional marketing emails using the unsubscribe method in the message. Transactional, security, billing, or account notices may still be sent when necessary to provide the service.

13. Sensitive and Demographic Information

Where users voluntarily provide demographic characteristics or other information treated as sensitive under applicable law, we use that information only for the purposes presented at collection, such as eligibility, matching, diversity-focused discovery, analytics, or impact reporting.

14. Children

The Platform is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18 through general Platform registration. If we learn that such information was collected without appropriate authorization, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

15. U.S. Operations and Cross-Border Access

Empowermint.AI is based in the United States and registration is restricted to users in the United States. Your information is processed in the United States and, where our service providers operate elsewhere, in other countries, subject to applicable law.

16. Third-Party Links and Services

The Platform may link to or integrate with third-party websites and services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and Empowermint.AI is not responsible for privacy practices of services it does not control.

17. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The revised Policy will display a new effective or last-updated date. We will provide additional notice where required by law or where changes materially affect the way we handle personal information.
